Over 30 years ago, Michael-Scott Wines, Ltd. embarked on a path to establish itself as a producer of Private Label California Wines of the highest quality. Besides being a Bonded Napa Valley Winery (#6421) since 1996, with its own award-winning wines, we have expanded our scope to include the private label wine business. We offer a wide range of wines to numerous clients in the US and China (and beyond) from some of the finest suppliers in the Napa Valley and Northern California.
The growth of private label brands, especially for export, has made Michael-Scott Wines one of the fastest growing private label wine companies in the industry. With increasing demand from Importers/Exporters, Wine Distributors, Retailers, Restaurants, Internet Wine businesses, Influencers, Professional Athletes and Actors, as well as others for private label or controlled labels every year, we have shown extraordinary growth while maintaining our strict quality standards and reliability.
Michael-Scott Wines has formed alliances with its production team partners and vineyard sources to ensure continuity, quality and consistency. For those looking to export wine, we can assist there as well. China and other exports now accounts for about 20% of our private label business. Besides putting together your wine brand, we ensure the required certification export documents are completed in a timely manner. If needed, we assist with showing our clients the steps necessary in obtaining a TTB Basic Permit and finding a reliable shipping company.

Private Label FAQ's
How long does it take?
FOR EXPORT:Figure on about 4-8 weeks once your label design has been completed. Sometimes quicker depending on the current schedule and time of year.
FOR US/DOMESTIC: Figure on about 6-10 weeks once your label design has been completed. COLA/ TTB label approval is required when selling in the US, thus taking a bit more time to complete.
What is the minimum order?
Minimum orders vary, but typically 2 pallets or 112 cases of one type. We try to be flexible. Please contact us for more information. 707.226.1622. FYI. Best pricing always on the larger orders.
What are the next steps?
a) Determine your market, get your license, select a name and design, as well an appellation, varietal(s), and quantities of each.
b) We send you a 375ml sample(s) for your approval (for a fee), followed by a signed contract and deposit request. No samples for mock ups / pre sells.
c) Once your label has been printed and delivered to the winery, we bottle, label and prepare for you to have picked up FOB California. ( For export, we furnish the certification documents required by China customs, at no additional charge.)
d) Full payment must be paid at least 15 days before bottling/labeling.
